In 1937 George Stoll joined the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film studio as musical director, he conducted the stage band which toured with Judy Garland on release of "The Wizard of Oz" 1939, he recorded with Bing Crosby including "Pennies From Heaven" 1936
