Ukrainian Composer Dimitri Tiomkin is perhaps best known for his film scores: 'The Guns of Navarone', 'The Alamo'. Tiomkin was also a composer of popular songs forming a songwriting partnership with American lyricist Ned Washington 'High Noon' 1952 recorded by Tex Ritter, 'Town Without Pity' 1961 recrded by Gene Pitney.
